I vividly remember the day my mentor asked me, “what is something you think you could not live without?” As a teenager, I answered “Of course my phone and internet.” My mentor looked at me in shock, and told me that we were going to cancel class that day to go to the park and to be close to nature. He guided me through the park and lectured me about different plants we saw. Furthermore, he explained how life in nature was created, and how the life cycle of different creatures was formed and how they descend.  As a child who grew up in the city, I have never experienced the wild life, and I know a lot of my friends grew up in the similar environment as I did. Fascinated by the beauty of nature, I wanted to share the scene with my friends, and maybe offer more. I discussed with my mentor that we could organize a summer camp, and take the city children into the wild, that way more children would appreciate nature and its beauty.

The Boards Shop

Through the process of picking and examining imported board games, and further, teaching the customers playing the game was a challenging yet fulfilling.

Summer Oregon Adventure Project

The trip provides the experience of the state’s stunning nature and rich culture; it also lets me have the opportunity to explore one of the most geographically diverse states in the U.S. through activities like camping, hiking, rafting and mountain biking.
